ten things that interested me most in the past 3 weeks,apart from the fact that i sat through six papers,passed all and can now be safely assumed that i move on to the third year of my engineering.
1. amused:the maran vs karunanidhi opera.DMK and Karunanidhi have long deserved what they finally got.lets hope they split more wide open.(i can’t help the animosity,i happen to be a tamil brahmin in tamil nadu.)
2.finally a tamil serial:of all the serials my mom and grandmom act see and i have long detested and fought against theres one i like:vijay t.v’s kanaa kannum kaalangal.
3. a nice book:holidays mean that i catch with my poor reading.jhumpa lahiri’s Namesake was better than her interpretor of maladies.must watch the movie sometime.
4.to ponder upon:”i expect girls to be coy always”-inresponse to my saying that girls are seldom coy except infront of someone whom they like or when they r slightly embarassed.
5.unfulfilled and never to be fulfilled:snow in chennai,i see no other way to escape the sweltering heat.
6.harry potter:july 21st,can’t wait..
7.home food:authentic south indian brahmin food,hard to come by if u r in hostel.
8.the police verification:the SP reports at 11:30 for work when it should have been 8:00 am.goes to lunch at 1:00 and you wait for 6 hrs without food and water to get a PCC from him.another incentive to stay in the nation i suppose:)
9.mangoes:the banganapallis seem to be nowhere in sight!
10.ways and means to not to do what you do not want to do:get up early in the morning.

i stumbled on to kanaa kaanum kaalangal, and watched a couple of episodes, and i think i’ll brave the lead actress at her irritating best just to laugh everytime that guy says “iruttikitae poradhu, velicham konjam konjama kammi aayindirukku yadayada”.
think it’s better than most other soaps, though.

well even i want the maran thing to split open.But it wont happen..no way..maran cannot survive without dmk..though i do think he’ll join the congress but that would effectively kill his career in tn.

come on..the dmk can never split due to maran.
he doesnt command much respect in dmk.
once mk dies it will be interesting but i think tamil nadu will be safer if the dmk does not split.

i suppose u sort of misunderstood what i meant.i feel the dmk will split anyway even without maran trying to instigate it for his personal gain as he tried.i find it unlikely that the party will stay together with the azhagiri,stalin and anbazhagan camps for long.but yea if there is a split it would mean trouble for tn initially.
